Glory was born here in Berkeley and lived up the street across from what was then known as Garfield Junior High. She has been teaching for over 30 years, working as a HeadStart teacher, as well as teaching 1st and 2nd grades in Oakland. This is her 14th year as Reading Specialist at Jefferson and she is still learning so much about literacy from her work teaching children. She loves to read, bake, and travel. Last summer she visited Beatrix Potter’s cottage on that favorite author’s 150th birthday!
