The Green Team will be facilitating our annual Earth Day Extravaganza on Monday, April 23rd, with fun eco-friendly yard activities during morning and afternoon recesses (see below for more details). We are collecting no-longer-worn NECKTIES and small SUCCULENTS (smaller than 4″ diameter) for earth day projects. Please place donations in the collection box outside the school office. We are also seekingPARENT/GUARDIAN VOLUNTEERS to help out with the yard activities – please sign up here Earth Day SignUp or contact Lori Hess at [email protected] if you are able to help out. (We need parent/guardian help at two slots: 9:15 to 10:20 and 11:15 to 12:40.)

If you are looking for other ways to be inspired and get involved on Earth Day, here are two options:
Shoreline cleanup: Join other Jefferson families at the Shorebird Park Nature Center at the Berkeley Marina at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday 4/21 to learn about the impact plastic is having on our environment and help clean up our shoreline.
