Ariel Wittman (3rd Grade)

Ariel has been teaching for almost 19 years. She started her career as an art teacher after earning a BFA from Boston University and a single subject Art teaching credential.  She loved teaching art to middle school students early on. After some work in museum education, she later continued her studies at Mills College in the school of Education and eventually finished with a Masters degree in addition to her Multiple Subject teaching credential.  She has taught at both private and public schools in the bay area and internationally.

Ariel appreciates working within the Jefferson community, collaborating with colleagues and families.  After working within many different types of communities all over, she see’s Jefferson as one of a kind and she loves it.   When she is not working, Ariel spends time outdoors with her two children, swimming, playing at parks and finding adventures.  She tries to find time to make artwork of her own (printmaking, painting, and collage) in addition to reading, listening to all types of music and getting exercise.
